I'm a dad to two wonderful daughters, and we love to eat out. I thought of blogging about my dining experiences and sharing my thoughts on food because as we all know, Filipinos love to eat. Bear with me since I'm not much of a literary writer. Thanks! [^_^]
It came quietly to Manila, the American style diner – Denny’s came with little fanfare but people were raving because of its following in the US. Now we get to try their menu and see what the fuss is all about.
One relaxing evening, after a not so relaxing time with my toddler who was running all around Bonifacio High Street; my family decided to try this new place beside Conti’s. I’ve heard of this restaurant for some time but this was my first time to try it out. Just from the outside it does look inviting and exuded a casual vibe.
Thank you very much for the visits, I promise to update as often as I can that’s the least I can do for the volume of visitors I’ve had for the past year. Thank you, I did not expect that it would be as high, in 2013 I’ve only had around 3,000 hits but surprisingly it grew exponentially to more than 40,000 for 2014.
I guess, there are a lot of food lovers out there just like me.
This is for all of YOU!
The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2014 annual report for this blog.
Here’s an excerpt:
The concert hall at the Sydney Opera House holds 2,700 people. This blog was viewed about 46,000 times in 2014. If it were a concert at Sydney Opera House, it would take about 17 sold-out performances for that many people to see it.
I just wanted to greet everyone who’ve read my blog, as well as for my future readers a very Merry Christmas!
Statistics have been booming, I’ve been trying to update as regularly as I can but also tried to cover places where people were needing an opinion from an ordinary restaurant goer who shares the same expectations as everyone else.
Thank you very much and again, wishing everyone the most wonderful time of the year!
Ryu Ramen and Curry: Underrated Goodness
Ground Floor, Jazz Residences, N. Garcia cor. Jupiter St., Makati City
With the slew of Ramen places in the metropolis, what would make one stand against all others? Is it the ambiance provided by the interiors, a delectable taste beyond description or simply a great and warm feeling brought about by hot soup, great noodles and everything in between?
One rainy afternoon, before my evening class, I decided to try this ramen place that truth be told, I’ve never heard before. Ryu Ramen was something new, and perhaps something worth discovering. Continue reading →
Buffet 101 at the New Glorietta
3rd Floor, Glorietta 2, Ayala Center, Makati
22 September 2014
On a whim my wife and I visited the newly opened Buffet 101 at the New Glorietta, we were enticed by the promise of an elegant and upscale buffet that they were able to deliver in their Mall of Asia branch. Their tagline of serving the same level of gastronomic experience as in upscale hotels is up for my judgment.
