Gelatissimo – Serendra, BGC Taguig
After a hearty dinner, we decided to have dessert at our favorite gelateria – Gelatissimo. I first tried this gelato joint a few years back when they opened at Greenbelt and I must say I fell in love with their gelato immediately. Just a heads up to those who are not familiar with gelato, it’s much creamier than ice cream because it has less fat and denser because it has less air.
The interiors are quite beautiful; I imagine that this is what carnavale would look like in Venice. Bright colors adorn the gelateria as if welcoming the diner to a world full of sweet things and sugary offerings.
Again, I’m a sucker for light fixtures. The chandelier is beautiful, perhaps this would be similar to one found at the Douge’s Palace, maybe? Even though the space was small, it didn’t feel cramped because of the use of space and the high ceiling.

Here are the available flavors from the company website.
A friendly advice to future diners, dining in is much cheaper and for value if you choose from Coppa Uno, Due and Tre. These sundae combinations have more gelato portions compared to the carry-out variant and are served in glass cups.
My sister and mom got the Peach and Veronese Chocolate flavors, it was good especially the peach flavor. I liked how it tasted like sorbet and was quite refreshing to the taste buds. The Veronese on the other hand is as chocolatey as can be. It was really good. They had it in Coppa Due.
While my me, my wife and Sophie had Coppa Tre. Chocolate Mint, Chocolate Truffle and Hazelnut Caramel. It was divine. The truffle had strong dark chocolate flavors, which was not overwhelming at all. The Chocolate Mint was ok for me, since I am not a fan of the combination; it was the flavor chosen by my wife while the Hazelnut and Caramel was the bomb. Hay! It tasted that good, like heaven on earth and all these flavors marry in one glass flute. I couldn’t ask for more perhaps more servings but that was enough for the night.
Even though a single serving may cost as much as half a gallon of budget ice cream, you should try the gelato at least once because of its fresh and fluffy taste that distinguishes it from your ordinary ice cream treat. The chocolate flavors are so good that you would want to have more and the fruity flavors rejuvenate the palate.
I will give the gelateria a 4.5 out of 5 for its taste, ambiance and overall dessert experience.
